The Government of Alberta announced that through Budget 2024, it is investing $25.2 million to replace the 68-year-old Beaverlodge Health Centre with a state-of-the-art facility. The new Mountview Health Complex will not only feature a 24-7 urgent care centre but also enhance access to a range of health services for residents.
“Beaverlodge and area residents should be able to receive the services they need close to home. This new complex will provide residents with round-the-clock access to care when and where they need it most,” said Adriana LaGrange, Minister of Health.
The Mountview Health Complex will include 32 inpatient beds, lab services, diagnostic imaging and emergency medical services. In addition to urgent care, the new facility will provide inpatient services for recovery, rehabilitation, restorative care and transitional care, helping bridge the gap between hospital care and home care.
