Members of Lax Kw’alaams are advised that until further notice, all members can return to the community, regardless of residency.

A screening process is currently in place when making your reservation, or when in line at the ferry terminal. If you are refused, there is also a process in place whereby Administration can use their discretion, and within seconds, ferry personnel have direct access to Administration.

Screening will still take place but unless there is evidence that jeopardizes the health of the greater community, travel will not be restricted for members and their direct families.

The Band is trying to make things as smooth as possible for the members.

This policy may change at any minute, depending on the escalating situation in the province.
