Aamjiwnaang working to open emergency winter shelter – Sarnia News Today

Aamjiwnaang’s Mental Wellness Team is working to open a temporary emergency winter shelter on the First Nation.
The information was shared by the administration and council earlier this week.
The team said the shelter, hoped to open in mid-February, will be located at the resource building beside the band office on Tashmoo Avenue.
The space will be open to Aamjiwnaang community members experiencing homelessness who can not be housed through existing programs, like those offered by the Inn of the Good Shepherd.
