Machine offers harm-reduction kits and other health supplies
A new smart vending machine at the People of the Dawn Indigenous Friendship Centre in Stephenville, N.L. could help save lives — and it’s completely free.
Our Healthbox enables people who need harm reduction and health supplies to get them discreetly Monday to Friday in the hallway leading into the building’s offices.
The machine, unveiled Wednesday, has naloxone and HIV self-testing kits, safe consumption supplies like clean needles, sexual health supplies, as well as menstrual and hygiene products, and traditional medicines kits.
