Territorial drinking water advisory reminder

As of May 22, 2026, the following drinking water advisories remain in effect. For the latest advisories, please visit the Government of Nunavut Newsroom.

Residents are advised to continue following the recommended safety measures. These advisories have been issued as a safety precaution to protect public health. Communities will be advised when a water advisory is lifted.

Community	Type of Advisory	Date of Notice/Details
Gjoa Haven	Boil water	January 16, 2026.
Pond Inlet	Boil water	July 17, 2025.
Arctic Bay	Boil water	August 26, 2024.
Sanikiluaq	Do not consume	Water for consumption must come from the reverse osmosis units installed in each household.
