Imposed Sterilizations: Phase II

A second research report on obstetric and gynecological violence and imposed sterilizations among First Nations women in Quebec has been released. To give First Nations women a voice and continue documenting their realities, a second phase of the research was launched. This time, three times as many acts of violence that occurred between 1956 and 2023 were reported, for a total of 97 testimonies.
