“Province funds Indigenous Mothering Centre in Winnipeg “

The Manitoba government is providing $2.5 million to help create a new Indigenous mothering centre in Winnipeg where mothers and their babies can stay together while receiving support.

Families Minister Nahanni Fontaine announced the funding for Blue Thunderbird Family Care Inc., which will use the money to buy and renovate a home for the future Mino’Ayaawag Ikwewag Mothering Centre.
