Employment Insurance, July 2025

The number of Canadians receiving regular Employment Insurance benefits increased by 6,600 (+1.2%) to 552,000 in July, continuing the upward trend that began at the start of 2025.

In 2022, about half (51%) of adults in the official language minority population received care in their official language when they accessed health care services in a hospital. Official language minority populations refer to English-speaking people in Quebec and French-speaking people in Canada outside Quebec.

Urban public transit, July 2025

In July, the number of urban transit passenger trips in Canada totalled 125.2 million, essentially unchanged from July 2024.
