Wait times to see a medical specialist in Canada, 2024
Just over one-third (35%) of Canadians who had an initial consultation with a medical specialist in the 12 months prior to the survey reported a wait time of less than a month, while 30% waited from one to less than three months and 36% waited for three months or longer, according to results from a new survey.
University revenues increase more than expenditures in 2023/2024
In 2023/2024, the total revenue of Canadian universities increased by $3.5 billion to reach $52.4 billion. Meanwhile, their expenditures rose by $2.3 billion, amounting to $48.7 billion.
Airport activity approaches pre-pandemic cruising altitude in 2024
In 2024, the number of passengers enplaned and deplaned at Canadian airports increased 4.0% from 2023 to 156.7 million. This was just under the 2019 level (96.2%), prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Oilseed processors crushed 856.1 thousand tonnes of canola in June, up 3.0% from May and 10.3% from June 2024. Oil production reached 364.6 thousand tonnes in June 2025, while meal production was 507.0 thousand tonnes.
