Study: The role of social connections in mitigating the harms associated with discrimination, 2023/2024
In 2023/2024, 45% of all racialized Canadians reported experiencing discrimination over the previous five years. While discrimination is related to negative mental and physical health outcomes, these effects become less pronounced when victims of discriminatory acts have strong personal support networks.
Unmet needs for disability supports among persons with disabilities in Canada, 2022
The new study, entitled “Factors associated with unmet needs for disability supports, 2022,” uses data from the 2022 Canadian Survey on Disability to explore the different characteristics that are associated with having unmet needs for different types of support.
