Ontario’s education minister joins the premier and health minister at a 1 p.m. news conference as the province awaits word on whether schools will return to in-person learning.

That province’s stay-at-home order and emergency laws lift by 11:59 p.m. tonight, but the province says most rules will remain in place until it officially enters the first step of its reopening plan in about two weeks.

Akwesasne’s curfew and rules around self-isolating if community members leave the area also end tomorrow.

Scientists warn that it may not matter how well some countries do with their COVID-19 vaccination campaigns if conditions that encourage spread and mutation exist in other countries.
