Four years after it first opened its doors in Kelowna, the Foundry is taking its work on the road.
The Foundry Bus will offer a collection of services supporting youth mental health in a mobile unit.
Over four thousand young people have accessed services through Kelowna’s Foundry since it opened.
But they believe that they can improve connections in the community and expand on that.
“We’re under-represented in areas like Peachland, Glenrosa, Lake Country and the Westbank First Nation,” said Foundry CEO Ben Macauley, “and transportation is one of those barriers.”
Some of the youth who come to the foundry for help are brought there by their parents, but many reach out on their own.
