Health Nexus needs your photos!
We are developing a set of brochures and other tools on the topic of preventing obesity in Aboriginal children ages 0 to 6 years. While we have some photos of real Aboriginal people, but we need a wider variety of photos that represent Aboriginal children and families living in a good way (for example, shopping for healthy food, getting physical activity, sitting at a table and eating together, etc.). If you would like to share photos with us, we would welcome them. Email them to Melanie Ferris at m.ferris[at]healthnexus.ca or phone to discuss sharing them at 1-800-397-9567, ext. 2263. Deadline for sharing photos is March 2, 2010. There is no payment for your photos, but you’ll be contributing something useful to an important project.Health Nexus needs your music!
Aboriginal musicians can get involved with our project through sharing the rights to their work with us. We’re developing videos and MP3s, and need short pieces of music that we can use in our products to help make them more lively and engaging. We can pay a $100 honorarium for the rights to your music, and we’ll help to promote your work through giving you full credit within the toolkit, on our website, and in other related promotional materials. Send us a link to your music at m.ferris[at]healthnexus.ca or send a CD with the suggested track we use to:
